Kasım 2011 tarihinde; Ferd Capital "Smarterphone" adlı özellik telefonları için geliştrilen işletim sistemini, Dünya'nın en büyük cep telefonu üreticisi olan Nokia'ya sattı.
Smarterphone, Oslo'da geliştirilen ve düşük seviye özellik telefonu segmenti için işletim sistemi sunan bir proje. Yazılım, uygun fiyatlı cihazlara akıllı telefon arayüzünün bir benzerini ve üst seviye işletim sistemlerinin esnekliğini sunuyor.

Anlaşılan Symbian, MeeGo, Windows Phone ve S40 Nokia'ya göre yetersiz gibi görünüyor ki Nokia, kasım ayında Smarterphone'u da bünyesine kattı. Birkaç ay önce sızdırılan, Linux tabanlı düşük akıllı telefonlara sunulan Meltemi'den ise henüz bir haber yok.
